CCDF Provider Eligibility Program
The Child Care Development Fund Program helps low income families pay for child care. The CCDF Program is administered through the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration (IFSSA) in the Division of Family and Children (DFC), Bureau of Child Care (BCC). This program is also commonly referred to as the child care voucher program.
Child Care providers/sites wanting to become eligible to accept children on the CCDF program, must come into compliance with the CCDF Provider Eligibility Standards and complete a center or home inspection. You may contact our office for information related to child care business start-up, how to set up learning environments, how to sign up for trainings or other issues related to your professional development as a child care provider. Those questions may be directed to Childhood Connections' Education Coordinator. Any information specific to compliance with the standards for the CCDF program or the inspection process may be directed to The Consultants Consortium - (TCC).
How does the program work?
Once the provider has met the standards, passes the inspection, and has a child on the CCDF program assigned to them, a POS machine (similar to a debit or credit card machine we see in the stores) will be installed in their home or facility. The families who qualify for the program use a card provided to them by the voucher intake site to swipe through the machine at drop off and pick up times at the child care home or facility. Data is then transmitted to the state to pay for services provided to families.
If you are interested in participating in this program, the CCDF Provider Eligibility Standards packet can be accessed by contacting TCC.
