Assist staff with mailings, filing, answering the phones, etc...No experience necessary. Shifts can be arranged at volunteer's convenience during our office hours, 8am-5pm, Monday - Friday.
Provide child care to young children of parenting teenagers during The Spot, an after-school program geared toward assisting teens in completing homework assignments (all parents of children remain in next room at same facility). Meets on Mondays from 3:30-7:30 at The Living Room Church. 2 or 4 hour shifts available. Background check required. Must be 18 years or older to be lead caregiver.
Are you a bookworm and/or excited about data? If you are, we need YOU! The library assistant will help us with data entry (putting in new books, videos, etc.. into the database), shelving, cleaning, organizing, etc.. This is an exciting way to get needed information in the hands of professionals and parents who need it.
We are seeking applicants for our Board of Directors. The board oversees agency funding and administration. Board meetings are once a month on the first Thursday of every month. There is also an expectation for all board members to participate in a committee that will help move the agency's mission forward. Those meetings are typically once every month or every other month.
The Spot (after-school homework help) program is seeking volunteers to help provide meals to the teens in attendance on Monday evenings. Meals are provided at approximately 5pm. This is a great opportunity for a small group to volunteer if they are lacking time to do something on a regular basis through one of our other opportunities. Sign up today to provide meals once a month, once a quarter or even once a year. Every little bit will help us achieve our goals.
Volunteers work beside young persons (pregnant and parenting teens or teens at large) to help encourage them to complete assignments on time, thoroughly and to the best of their abilities. Volunteers may sign up to do this weekly in 2-4 hour shifts on Mondays between 3:30 and 7:30pm. Shifts are available every week to once a month. No special skills are required. This is not a tutoring program. We will provide volunteers resources to connect students with tutors who are available in the community through other resources.
